After seeing Trident's post about his Longines Conquest Heritage, I recommended it to my brother and he decided to get it.
Thanks to Trident and all of you for the help, guys! It was fun, but that price range is too much for me.

Re: Sumo Hunting Season?
Hi alant,
I have bought from Rakuten Global twice, both have arrived safely/quickly as they use Japan EMS. You also get a bit of protection when you use Paypal. No quality control experienced so far.

Re: WRUW: 7/2 Saturday
Thanks, balzebub71, the new look does make me prefer it as an office watch compared to my black monster. Sourced from eBay, seller mastation365 from HK. Links on the outside have a flattened surface, a real nice touch. Hell to size though, recommend you use a dremel. Since I only had a file, took me...

He and I are in our mid40s btw, so I am also betting he chooses a sub, else a datejust.

Re: WRUW 29 jAN 2015
Thanks Trident! Cost me 97 Sgd from Meranom. That stock bracelet sucks though, I might change it to a mesh one. Domed acrylic is a nice touch ,too.

Re: Rolex in SG
Bzb71, good warning. I will let him research at least what looks he likes. Just realized he didn't even specify quartz or auto. Makes me wonder what prompted him to go down that path. He was satisfied with the Black Monster and SKX007 he got two to three years back. Argh. Will let you all know how t...

Hi CEO. Brand new. Looking at the costs of those though (8k+),I might have to convince him to go the used route:).
Thanks for the advice, Balzebub.

Re: Rolex in SG
Thanks Balzebub71. Yeah, I am wary of sgroc, heard of some scams over there. Guess I'll stick to the shops. I usually shudder when surrounded by expensive stuff, but this will be better since it's my brother who's looking to buy. Hope to avoid the rude salespeople other articles mention too. Some lo...

Rolex in SG
Hi all. Any recommendations on Singapore shops where new Rolex watches are sold? And what is the least expensive model available?
Also, if anybody has recently bought a Rolex and can share the shop, model and price, please send me a pm.
Thanks and regards to all!
David

Re: Citizen Diver NY2300
Somehow, I found the font on the NY2300 watchface was better-looking than that of the 007, plus the fact that it was lighter, whereas the 007 was bruising my wrist with the movement afforded by its shape and the jubilee. So I sold the 007 :), and got a Black Monster instead. Both are in my regular r...

One of my first Orient watches.... http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o10/anzac1957/Pic058-9.jpg Great dial.. The markers are stainless steel and they can disappear completely depending on light or look black/gray as in picture.. Cheers Love the textured dial, script, and the Orient emblem looks so...

Rakuten offer - free shipping
Just saw this via a banner on Ebay SG:
http://global.rakuten.com/en/event/free ... d=rgm_0501" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If you do give it a try, make sure to share your haul on lemonjelliee's hoot thread
