Is Swiss Unitas 6497 direct swap for Asian 6497?

As above. If i have a Asian 6497 watch, would a Swiss Unitas 6497 be a direct swap? Not sure if stuff like the movement holder is the same, or does it normally come with the movement? Wanted to try out Getat, but i don,t expect the Asian 6497 to be serviceable so eventually there,ll be a need to rep...

Re: Helberg CH8

Length lf Isofrane straps

Does anyone know what the length of isofrane straps? I have a 6inch+ wrist and i always have to look for short straps. Isofrane only list the strap as 200mm total length but i,m not sure the length of the individual sides especially the short end. I usually need 70/75mm for the short end. Does anybo...

Re: S I C / Sharing Is Caring for Micro-brands

Was interested in the automatic mechanical version but the price was abit higher than i expect. The Steinhart Racetimer is about €50 more but comes with a Valjoux movement... When it comes to movement debate, it is often very subjective... Some feels that the ETA/Valjoux 775x movements is reliable ...

Applying extra won't help in adding strength to the bond and only makes things a little messy in the end too.

Re: Where to buy Loctite and which version?

Ok. So i,ve applied loctite to all the screw links on my 5 steinharts still on bracelet. I would urge owners for ocean 1s,ocean 2s and gmts to check all their screw links. I only had 2 or 3, out of almost 30 that were snug. A lot of them were just fitted and unscrewed with little effort, definitely ...
