Similar to Miker, i'm rooting for the Seiko Sumo i got mine recently, the JDM model as well and totally loving it.
Before, i had thought that the fonts on the bezel was too loud, but it hasn't left my wrist since i bought it two weeks ago and it's beautiful!

Re: Seiko Astron
I can't seem to find anything on the lug width though. Anyone knows the lug width and if it can be bought separately? From the pictures, i don't see any drilled lugs, so i guess strap changing will be via the "traditional" way. Not wearing Astron now so I will have to check and let you know ..... T...

Hi welcome to the forum! I'm not too sure if you'll be able to find anything that's brand new and beats Amazon pricing though, but hang around and have a good time going through all the photos here!

Re: Seiko JDM , Is It Really "Made In Japan" ?
tot international rule is that majority of manufacturing cost incurred at which country means made in that place? Unfortunately such rule is very slacking. For example, take a look at some German labels. LACO- you may see the words "Made in Germany" printed on some of their dials right? In a piece ...

Re: Newbie's Seiko Journey
Didn't want to start a new thread and since we're on the topic of Sumos here, i'd like to ask if anyone knows any alternatives to cover the gap between the lug ends and the case when you throw a rubber strap on the Sumo? I really like the idea of rubber straps with deployant clasps but that'll leave...

Oooooohhhh, the Sumo! I'm really tempted by the Sumo, only thing that is holding me back is how thick the numbers on the bezel look. Too bold already IMHO. But still nice nonetheless!

Re: [Shop Talk]- Russian Makes- Various Russian Watch sites.
How about this one? Makes a very good dress watch IMO. Poljot Baikal Chrono :D There's the moonphase version also, with a slightly golden-ish dial. Love the detail on the dial surface, kinda like "woven". But what doesn't sit well with me is the lume on the hands. I just don't think that a dress wat...
