Sony RX1 looks interesting ....

I have the GX100. Got it many years back. I don't find the macro limiting, the only "issue" is that the AF takes some time to "lock".

However I still find compacts with small sensor size a limiting factor, I still prefer at least a APS-C sensor .

I will not buy if I m u +1 for the modding effort. but movt 7549 rarity(*price) VS that of a 7546 movt that you can get from some quartz dress + diver. also consider 7548 dial+hands set "supply"... hardest to seek would be the 7549 300m case s...
