Maybe you could share some guidelines so that it is easier for us to recommend; e.g. budget? diver, dress, pilot etc? complications? preferred size? preferred brand? hand wind or auto?

2014 will be over in less than 2 weeks, plan wisely before you hoot your last watch of the year.

Oredi hooted one moderately big ticket one during my bird-day earlier this month.
So no hooting for the rest of the months, and also lunmailim(忍。麦。饮) during the festive season liaoz... must dong(冻) all the way till CNY period.

But if this month end bonus is better than last year... i may consider... hmm...
Another dressy piece!

My current "If I had $1,000 to spend on a watch" personal choice is the Hamilton Intra-Matic. While my vintage DJ has quenched my lust for an understated dress watch, this Hamilton calls out to me. :)

Not looking for any specific types. Just looking at what the bros over here view their top 10 watches for 2014 as a reference. Its meant to be big and wide. Only limit is the 1k budget. :D

I would take a look at micro brands like Helberg, Halios, Helson, Armida & Prometheus.

date at 12 o'clock, super cool. Uniquely Admiral conquest. After discount, maybe 1.6k. On a good day can find a preowned one below 1k. Good luck!
