Looking for something similar but smaller

Post by Jonatutu » 18 Feb 2013 22:37

I really love the design of Time Factors speedbird III but the price is a little steep for me. Went on to look for alternative, Parnis has similar design(with and without logo) but the size is too large. Looking for something around 38-40 including crown, boy size.

The SpeedBird 3 is a "A" dial Flieger ley...
Cheapest i can think of is SEIKO's SNZG1x Military field watch, with SS satin finish casing and 7s36 movement, priced between 130 ~ 150 depending on retailer.
And the other... UHR531 with ETA2824 automatic hackable movement and "A" dial. Under 300eu with shipping to SG

ticino lo
Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't
own it, but you can use it. You can't keep
it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it
you can never get it back.

TUTIMA machiam like HANHART is somekind of classic cult brand that often gets outshined by other popular names making military watches, like LACO, IWC, SINN as well as FORTIS and other big names. Hence, much less mentioned. Can bid lah... no harm trying...

TUTIMA not much fakes in the market. In comparison to HANHART, where there are replicas using Russian or Chinese hand-wind ST19 movements. The movement used in the chrono which you had linked... is workhorse quality, ever popular 7750 movement. Tough and Rough. But major concern on this preowned set will be... whether the date/day wheel is okay or not... The day/date wheel is easy to f@cked up should the previous owner does not practise safe date change.

Go check out Archimede pilot watches. Looks great, but not so price friendly either :(

Laco isn't exactly cheap unless you get the miyota-powered ones.
