How important is the correct date to you?

Post by nutty » 27 Sep 2015 15:59

I am a bit of OCD and have in the past, adjusted the date as per the day whenever I rotate my watches.

But after a while, I started to just adjust the time and wear it for the day. If I have to check the date, there is always the phone, or my colleagues, or my wife, or whoever is next to me to check (ok sometimes I kanna the deadly stare, "look at your @%#* watch"....that's besides the point).

I am also trying to look for watches without the date function, but there are limited choices.

So, just curious, how important is the correct date to you on your watch?

The correct date is essential for my work...hence i prefer watches with date or day date display. One with annual calendar complication is on my hit list.

It is very important to me Bro. I can't explain it but if not correct it's like something is missing.

I adjusted the date wrong recently. Only got to know that I set the date wrongly after I took a picture of the watch and wanted to post on the wruw thread. Wanted to close one eye but I just couldn't. Lol

Haha.... I know the feeling!

But I am slowly (not always successful) getting there.

Too lazy to adjust date. Preferences is to get watches with no date.

Sorry for the typos..am using auto correction.

To me having the correct ime and date is important. Otherwise why do we fuss about COSC or other time standards. If too lazy or not bothered to adjust then just wear a no date watch or a quartz perpetual..just my 2cents ;)

But you look so young on your avatar....!!! Unless it was a shot taken many years back....heehee.

With "old flower eyes", I tend to appreciate cyclops on watches more - if there is a date function.

Alternatively, watches with big date windows would also come in handy.
