Whether battery got power or no power, change battery every 2 years at least and use only Made in Japan batteries.

OT a bit. Personally I have not had a battery leak on my watch, but I had a leak on a remote controller. Bought a replacement, and instead of throwing the old one away, I figured no harm put it under alkaline water to wash off the acid leak and let it dry for a few days. Surprisingly, it sprung back to life. Tried this last option instead of throwing your quartz watch, perhaps it might work?

i did this on several remote b4 from tv to aircon n fan, aircon remote hardest to pry open, not screw on, but snap on type of plastic

remote control pcb is relatively simple, u see a ic and many round spots only, thats it

remove plastic cover, took out pcb, wipe or spray with electronic contact cleaner.

put back and install fresh or useable battery.

use any phone or camera with camera lens on, put lens facing the "led" looking thing and press all the buttons, if it blinks the remote is working.

sometimes u get some buttons not working also, while some working. or totally not working lo.. depends on luck.

again depends on how much the leak has seep onto the pcb, has the acid started to "attack" pr breakdown the pcb 1st insulated layer yet.

Extend hours also no use. Kena stuck in traffic on the way there and then thought of the parking problems there.... took U-turn and ended up in Geylang.

Going to K2 in this period will be EPIC. I hope you got a lot for parking and attention from Mr. Goh. He's got lots on his plate in the coming weeks.

The pre-Hari Raya build up of jobs is not the only peak period in Goh's calender. Usually CNY sees queues starts as early as 6 wks away.

I think Goh was extremly busy on Sunday. Passed by and saw him sold one TUDOR, one SEIKO titanium Diver and one SEIKO wall clock, all very nice ones. Pop and change out one crystal. Replace maybe 6 batteries & 3 straps. All within 30-40 minutes!

But he was unable to help me with my CASIO MTG, anyone know where to find a MTG 120 steel bracelet?
