Anyone know whether it's cheaper to get the mm300 from Hong Kong? Thanks.

Hi Shaggy,

I am new here and I have just dropped you an email. Waiting for your reply.
I am curious to know if the Seiko watch we buy from you can be sent for servicing or repairing at TS?

Thanks.

All,

I am curious to know if the Seiko watch we buy from any shop or anyone. How can we know if they can be sent for servicing or repairing at TS? Or if not TS, where can we go? Or so long it is a Seiko, we can send it to TS for repair?

Am sure a lot of the old watch shops can service Seikos. That's the beauty. K2 is one place but as of late, I've seen pieces being turned down. TS should be able to service any Seiko except vintage ones... That's what I understand. Parts availability can be a big problem for older watches. Am sure some of the more seasoned collectors can comment better.

Personal taste. And black bay owners will say otherwise. In fact, I have come across a number who feel that it's stupid to buy more than a S$1k Seiko. Don't fault them, watch preference is a matter of personal taste. Both are beautiful pieces and cannot be compared head on as its like saying apples are better than oranges, or vice versa.

Well. Some would say, $4k for a seiko? ;p i,m one of them btw :) i,ve never been able to bring myself to buy a grand seiko, no matter how much i like that ltd edn blue face 1 with power reserve which some1 here reviewed recently iirc, or any seiko for that matter that costs more than $1k, but have paid $6k-$8k for a eta watch. It,s all a matter of perception.

Agreed, I have ETA 2824 from 500 till 1k+.. so it's still packaging.

We have Seiko 7S movt on 100 range, they also appear in other brands that cost like 800 ?

It's the watch that matters eventually... MM300 is an example. Once you handle it, the cost is justified.

That said, to drop more than 4K on a Grand Seiko.. well I think I'm ok with it but maybe not now. haha.

Not just in-house, GS movt are hand assembled... regulated. Anyway ETA comes in different grades as well...
