just want to post a question regarding this watch as well as 4rxx movements in general.

when you start to manually wind the crown, it makes a light smooth whirring sound.
have you ever experienced hearing or "feeling" an intermittent clicking sound that accompies the winding whirring sound?

is this a problem with the movement? others have speculated that it could mean that the power in the sporing i at full capacity & the clicking sound is an indication that we should stop winding...

any thoughts?
TIA :D
I do not think you can over-wind. These should have a clutch that allows slip once you reach full wind, protecting the mainspring.

The intermittent clicking sound could be the date wheel (my guess). What time does the watch show when you are winding?
Why don't you try setting the watch hands to 11.00pm, and then wind. This might trigger the clicking sound.

@lunarin79- thanks for the quick response. i'll try to get more feedback as well.

@herzausstahl- thanks for the input. the time is set at 4pm when i wind. does the clutch make an audible clicking sound when i overwind?

I do not own any watch with this movement, but for the others that I own, no audible sound.

I had a few autos which had these clicking feel when I winds it.

Initially winding is smooth, say, maybe around 45-50 turns, I can feel a click when I kept winding

The clicking you hear is from a safety feature to prevent you from over winding, so it will slip when the mainspring is tight, it's like cycling backwards on a bicycle.

On another note, who wants to order this PVD mesh ? (I'm a mesh fan btw)
