I m quite surprise as well... when you put the SKZ model number on the title.
The newer ones should be SRPxxx with the 4R3x movement, not with the old 7S3x which you had got.
I think it's okay for you... since this may be your daily beater. Hackable or not will not be a must.

What you had got yourself is a NOS. Hopefully the warranty is still valid for the model.

Grats on your purchase

Am i the only one that thinks the cyclops on the new stargate looks odd.

I actually purchased it from a local retailer & not online, it comes with a genuine Seiko 3 year warranty. You learn something new everyday, the new version Stargate is not available locally yet.

Ouch... forgotten that you're from UK... yeah... SEIKO UK offers different warranty package compares to SG. Sorry for the bummer...

I wanted a Seiko mechanical watch since I joined this forum & was amazed by the devotion you all have for Seiko mechanical timepieces, I really wanted a Seiko MM300 but its way too expensive for my budget.
The SKZ325K1 has a similar design although not the same as the MM300, the Stargate is a good substitute.
The only thing I wish the 7S36 movement had is the ability to hack, otherwise am very pleased with the Stargate so far.

Thank you for reading my post :D
Congrats on your new purchase.

Enjoy and wear it in good health!
