Used to, haven't follow anime scene for a long long time.
Just re-watched Hellsing yesterday out of boredom.
The usual suspects (old animes): Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, Full Metal Panic I & II.

New animes? I also waiting for people to recommend leh..

Used to watch anime, back then, I was in charge of One Piece and Bleach (as in download the latest episode and get together to share over a cuppa coffee)..

Towards the end, we changed to manga instead after finding a volume in manga, means almost a whole 10 or more episodes of anime, too lengthy :p

I highly recommend works of: Takehiko Inoue and Masatoshi Kawahara

i used to read mangas but once I started on animes, i'm stuck on animes although the waiting time for each epi is so slow but i think i prefer to see characters in moving colours than in still black & white

Yes, the characters in anime is moving and colorful and all.. But it doesnt capture the painstaking work of art of these manga artist.. Check out Takehiko Inoue for one.. You don't get that with the anime IMHO

Takehiko Inoue is the creator of the old time classic: Slam Dunk.. His current work is Vagabond..

Vagabond is a loose historical adaption of the life of Miyamoto Mushashi, legendary samurai in Japanese tales (some say it's not a tale at all).. Sasaki Kojiro is in It too :)

There's also another manga I love but stopped reading since started working..

Tokkyuu, it's about Japanese coast guard divers.. Probably should read back and see if there's any seiko divers references there :D

Tintin is more class, in terms of storyline (international agent, smart guy, and snowy the dog of course) than japs manga (usual underdog wins at the end kinda thing) IMHO..

But sometimes I'd be more inclined to the maturity in drawings from the Japanese manga artists.. Just check out yoshitaka amano for one, world class, nuff said..

Bleach, I stopped after Kurosaki went to Hueco Mundo to rescue Orihime.
Naruto, I stopped somewhere after 180+ episode in the original anime series. Too draggy, didn't even watch Shippuden.
The only Gundam I've watched was Gundam SEED.

Elfen Lied was a bit over my gore limit. Claymore was nice :)
I like Noir, which has great soundtrack and choreography.

Two other oldies, if you have not watched before:

Plantes - slow but interesting take on life, ambition and space.
Irresponsible Captain Taylor - for a good laugh

Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't
own it, but you can use it. You can't keep
it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it
you can never get it back.
