May I check how long for the package to arrives?
I cheapen out and went for normal mail for the up coming scorpionfish.

Not sure if is worth switching to express courier.

Sorry for the typos..am using auto correction.
Sorry for the late reply bro...
Received email dated 24/7, 4am. With tracking that the parcel will arrive on 27/7 before 12pm.
The parcel did arrive on time as stated.

The buckle would be at the extreme end of the wrist :(

Got this from Ashford about 2 weeks back:

Finishing is amazing. It is retailing here close to $8k....had a hard time justifying. But when I saw this on sale..... hoot first, talk later.

(In case anyone interested, their sale is still on, though options are now more limited). And, they do wear large, but the short lugs help.

Thanks for the compliments.

Just a bit of background, in case anyone is interested.... JR is to GP, like Tudor is to Rolex. So in terms of finishing, movements, they don't disappoint. Where they are really lagging is their marketing. In fact, JR watches have been around for quite a while. You could find them at Cortina Watch, though Cortina has stopped selling GP/ JR. THG is now the reseller.

They have two movements, so to speak. The 1681 are their so call higher end models, and they come with their in-house movement. I guess some of these have been influenced by GP. The entry level watches are Selita based movement, so servicing will not be an issue. These are essentially the Terrascope and Aeroscope.

When I first saw the sale from Ashford, I ordered the Terrascope from them. It is a 39mm, Why? Because I tried on the 44mm when Cortina was still carrying it, and I just felt it was a bit too big on my small wrist. It was selling at retail - S$3,700. And back then, JR hasn't launched their 39mm models. BUT...when it finally arrived (in less than a week), I felt it was just a tad too small..wanted to send it back (they have return policy), but ended up giving it to my wife (must score point).

Weeks later, I ordered the 1681.

Here's a picture of the two for comparison

Image

The Terrascope (39mm) on my wrist:

And the 1681:

It's definitely large, but for those who like Pam, this has one advantage over the Pam .... It's not as thick and can therefore hide well under the cuffs.

And for anyone who wants to try before buying, just drop by THG at Taka

Disclaimer: I do not work for any of the names mentioned above. Image
