Hi guys,

Came across this club when lunarin79 posted up on FB about his Project Watch 2015. It's an admirable cause and I wasn't a SC member at that time, but have since joined for the watch. So here I am!
Not really a watch guy per se but I like staring at and buying Seikos. To me, they're nice, not too pricey for a watch that I can wear for dinner e.g. Cortura and still be able to knock it around and not worry too much.

I do have a few other time pieces and have such started - just only - going into movements. I'm on my first movement; that I actually care about - which is the ETA 2824/36. The Tissot Visodate was my first watch of choice on which I cared about movements. Not big on it but I do like the construction of the body. Too bad they released Version 2, which did away with the nice joint. so sad...

Will post more when I get home.

Cheerios

Rightio, uploaded a few pictures onto my own server so here they are!

These are not in any particular order.

Okay, maybe i'm a little biased. Seiko first!

This Tissot Visodate is my favourite piece and only reserved for formal events. It's an ETA movement and i'm looking for a watch winder for it.

Worst watch ever purchased. This was bought just for fun.

Nice. I'm a fan of the Tissot Visodate and hope to have one someday!

Cheers man!

Welcome!

The Visodate is a classic looking watch but I was hoping to have this version..

I'm personally a big fan of Hamilton's Intra Matic as a dress watch. Very similar to the Visodate but a tad more minimalistic.

this intra matic is more like a dress vacheron constantin. this looks a fair bit thinner. the visodate is a little thicker at the case because of the movement and definitely heavy. i can imagine the intra matic being as light as it looks. right there?

thanks :) that was purchased during my diver watch infatuation days. nowadays i don't think of owning a U-boat anymore. lol

nowadays i'm more into the classic look. entertained the thought of owning a cheapie LZ129 Zeppelin watch at one time just for fun or even the higher end 7series Zeppelins for the movement.

Anyone own a Zepp here?

Yup, it's definitely a thin and light dress watch. You'll hardly feel it on the wrist. Which can be good or bad depending on your preference.
