Re: Rolex
If I am looking for one that is used.
I wouldn't mind paying abit more for it to come with box and papers (complete set).
Already I am saving on the premium for a new piece, I would forkout that little more for a good condition complete set. There would also be higher resale value after you buy over. U never know what the next buyer is looking for..
Good choice on the sub w/o date. Ever look at the deepsea instead?

Re: Rolex
Yes with box n papers more resale value...but depends on wat kind of person u r...
If u 1 2 get a rolex n reali keep 4 ur children n later pass on 2 ur grandchildren than w/o box/paper or with box/paper depends
If u r a hardcore MBS,KRANJI,SENTOSA,CRUISE,GEYLANG CASINO addicts than no diff if w/o box/paper(u cant b bringing them when u visit dis places rite?) b4 u play u aldy standby lose liaozzz
If u intend 2 flip in forums than is better 2 hav both bo sibeh troublesome
2 me i rather go w/o box/paper
With box/paper i pay more n if i hav 2 pay more might as well buy new 1...

Re: Rolex
When we say papers, I presume we mean the chronometer cert or card, and not the warranty, although they are printed on the same card or paper.
Majority of the 14060 (IMO the Submariner, everything else is Submariner Date) are non-cosc, so whatever paper is just an expired warranty. The serial on the so called paper is also quite useless, since for non-cosc models all it does is to state the warranty. Rsc also does not verify papers.
Only the later 14060M are cosc, and only then a cosc cert makes an essential part of the package.
I have three submariners, but only the recent alpha numeric one has cert, because it is cosc certified. The other two (K series) has a rolex warranty paper, which is only good while warranty is valid. My oldest T tritium one has no box no paper.
