[CHINA Makes]-[Others]- Should we look more closely now?

for years... since we're young, and with addition of influences from our seniors, we're exposed to Japanese and Swiss quality movement watches and most of us would show some kind of doubt should a timepiece that's made elsewhere shows up in the market.

those fellow brudders here who frequent WatchUSeek forum would not be surprised to see the rising popularity of mainland china made watches are creating a stir even in Western community. cheap price, goods design, un-beatable value(ETA movement pieces are going sky high for sure now)... these are the few common factors that are pushing up the "CHINA MADE" status...which in local community are often regard as "clones".

in the local market, besides SEAGULL that have been discussed in various local forums, there are numbers of mushroom germasian brands are using chinese movements in their produce. even the india's TITAN had jumped into the pool by using chinese movements in their watches. Recently, i was flipping through a local magazine, there's even a special report on "CHINA MADE" watches...

recently there's a discussion thread on china made chronos, where numbers of different models are suggested... guyz... i must say... imagine how much are you going to pay for your next swiss make...

Given another 10 or more years down the road, it will be another force
to be reckoned with. Given more time their quality will improve just
like the japs, imho.
