Stumbling across this website a few weeks back and noticed a beautiful watch on one of the WRUW Threads and asked around what that model was.

I was intrigued and did a search on Steinhart's website and instantly found the watch i was looking for!

It is the Steinhart Ocean Vintage Military ( abbreviated to "OVM"). While browsing about the finer details of the watch, the desire rosed and the OVM got the better of me. I clicked on "Purchase" only to discover that it is on back order.

Still i continued with the check out as i said to myself i wanted this on my wrist regardless of the wait.

That day was March 15, 2013.

I knew that Steinhart has shipped my watch on the March 21, 2013 so i went about my daily activities without thinking so much even though i was excited about the incoming watch.

Lo and Behold!! Kudos to Steinhart and FedEx, I received a phone call last Saturday March 23, 2013 and the courier said that he was FedEx and he was at my gate and no one was home. I asked the Abang to wait for me to rush back in 15mins but he declined quoting that he has a few more runs before the end of the 1/2 day work day. Always a believer of work life balance, i reluctantly agreed to redirect my package to a FedEx Collection Center in Expo.

I collected my watch on Monday and feeling really good about without feeling the Blues. Monday went by in a breeze and i got home for the Unboxing!!!

Package was well packed with Bubble wrap and the first view of the OVM when i opened up the wooden watch box. Yes, it was an wooden watch box that came with this purchase!

What he said, enjoy it.

If its OOS, personal choice whether you want to wait or not. These are the popular models, so personal decision whether post pay Pre order or wait. No wrong choices. All personal. Btw, you will be hit with 7%GST plus $10 admin from FedEx.

Did you order this directly to germany as singapore website shows ''Out of Stock''? Just wandering whether do they still have stock in germany?
