It looks like the vintage submariner but some brands also share the same design.
Honestly many many divers out there carry some design elements from the sub and ff...

New strap arrived from chile. Took more than 2 weeks to reach sg. The strap gives it a more casual look. ImageImageImage

Steinhart OVM vs Squale 20 ATMOS MILITAIRE

If only the OVM is on the case of the Squale, I find the OVM 42mm with metal bracelet uncomfortable on my wrist and switch to the zulu 2 piece strap for more comfort.
So end up got a squale 40mm Militaire also. :D

Both look awesome. Especially the OVM.

I was in gnomon yday and asked when the OVM would be back in stock.

The answer I got was quite 'dao'. KNN. Suddenly I don't feel like getting one.

That is why I bought direct from Steinhart. I got the 'dao' comment as well.

Ok so it wasn't just me. I thought they see me no up with a seiko on my wrist and every watch in their shop outpricing it. Frankly I was quite pissed. If I wasn't there to get a leather strap I liked, I would have walked right out.

I also think that if the OVM case was just slightly smaller it would look perfect.

I guess business is too good for them and they service mostly regulars who will buy new arrivals in a heartbeat now.

Anyway I was there like 4-5 years ago with vintage Vostoks worth less than $80, looking to buy NATO straps. It was more like a quick sale and the service is still considerable ok.

I bought from steinhart and was charged gst when delivered... price difference abit only. Maybe just bear with the dao attitude and suck it in. Warranty or after sales service is easier if get from gnomon locally.

announcement! OVM @ STEINHARTWATCHES.de no more available!

Post by Ed.YEO » 17 Nov 2014 01:07

Look out on the coming 18th.
OVM ver.2 facelift will be released on this day...
So far no mention of whether the movement will be changed, or price will be revised, except that the dial will be slightly greyish, with OCEAN ONE words printed below the STEINHART logo...

Here's the leaked pic
Image
The dial will not be that light greyish... that's the reflection of flash...
