Had the opportunity to try a Smith Everest, quite a nice watch but the PRS-68 seems expensive when placed next to the Dagaz Typhoon Classic or the Helson SpearDiver

The bezel on the Smith's looks better though. But close to 500 pounds like very ex.

The everest is on my wishlist though

i could understand your possible love for vintage design.
however, even with the removal of english vat... still much ex than any other watches with european movement.
@ such price... C.Ward or Helson would seems to be a much better choice.

Agreed as well. I think at price point, there should be more bang for buck.

Update.

The Dagaz T2 will be coming with 4R movt soon.... as soon as the 7s movt runs out.
That will makes it much much closer to the Typhoon Tii with 6R (diff will be the power reserve <50hrs> and probably the beat).

I have been looking at the PRS68 lately and they can be had for about £350 second hand, I think they have an edge over the Typhoon in looks and I have been looking for ages for an original 6105 and they are hard to come by so I think a hommage should fill the gap for a while :)

That's $700, still very expensive in my opinion....
