Any bros here know who can do a good job of servicing (with genuine omega parts) for a speedmaster reduced with 3220 movement which is the 2890-A2 with DD 2020 chronograph module? Omega quoted $1,065 for a full service which is even more than I paid for servicing my speedmaster with 1861..

I need all the seals and gaskets replaced and watch pressure tested to factory specs, a light polish is also welcome. Should any parts need to be replaced I would also prefer oem omega parts be used? From what I understand, K2 doesn't do any pressure test? Plus being OCD about accuracy, I need the watch to be regulated to run well within factory specs as well?

lol. I see. Perfectionist :p i would suggest jw as well actually. But i understand their close until 23feb iirc. I don,t think any of those small shops will be able to do a proper pressure test. Jw would be your best bet.
I,m also going to bring a seamaster gmt for them to service soon, after they reopen. Forgot to bring the last time i went down.

Still timing my speedy, if it keeps time within factory specs then I will likely hold off from servicing for a while as swatch just pressure tested it when they authenticate it. Keep my fingers crossed.
but I guess I will ask JW for a rough estimate first.

Sorry for jumping out of nowwhere. But does JW services Co axial movements?

Not sure, the last time I checked which was last year, he did not want to repair my deville with 8500 co-ax movement, told me better to bring down to service centre?

but the turn around time is so damn long. 3-4 months? They would usually upsell you with other repair parts too, especially if its a vintage. Then, the ultimate surprise if you are new to them, the 7% GST.

That extra 7% really (I mean really) adds up. Imagine going to expensive restaurant, and the taxes making the meal even more expensive. The supposed $200 for my vintage Rollie became over $500! Not sure if JW is a good salesman or I'm just too green back in the days. Haha.

Part of the school fees when you first start out this poisonous hobby. I'll usually send my stuff to JW as my last resort as oppose to the authorize repair centre. They are after all cheaper the ASC (authorize service centre) and rather reputable.

Now the turn around for JW for chrono is around 6 months I think..
