Stealth NATO Strap

Post by eawtan » 21 Jun 2011 09:56

I have got 2 stealth NATO straps coz it's cool looking (all black, including metal parts). However after using for 2 days, I find most of the black coating on the metal portions disintegrating into fine powder. I feel the black coating is very soft and a slight knock will cause it to disintegrate. I've tried to "patch up" the portions with permanent black marker whenever I can.

Hopefully the future batches of stealth straps will have overcome this issue ....

Oh yah, I think it's not really PVD, more like paint.

Here's from the supplier:
Nato straps with black chrome plated metal parts (in-toxic trivalent chromium)
Not as active.
