Re: K2 Thread
Went down to K2 a couple of days ago to repair my red monster. His shelf was so empty! Looks like you guys went crazy over Xmas! Of the remaining watches one caught my eye. Came back to do some research and found out that it's the SUN019. Think I wet my pants a little. Price is a bit of a conc...

Citizen PMX56-2811
Really love the look of this watch. Recently dropped a message to Higuchi as it's still listed on their site, but they said that it's sold out, and difficult to find anymore. http://www.higuchi-inc.com/56-2811.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Any other watches that have a similar ...

Re: "Arnie" collection added
Nice watch!!! I'm a HUGE Arnold fan as well!
Can share roughly what price you got it for? Hope to get a ballpark figure just in case I chance upon one and do something rash.

Re: Poll - Diver Watches ??
Hi there. I have dived with my Luminox 3050 before. Since it's marketed as a "navy seal approved" watch I was thinking it would be able to take quite the beating. Held up well and I'm still wearing it.
Probably wouldn't do the same with my shiny 171 or monster though. Haha!

Congrats Doc , enjoy your new Red tooth Monster . :) Thanks! =) Yes!!! In fact almost 3 years back, when I was getting my skx171, I pm-ed you for help! I bought from someone called Kohym I think? You told me that he was a reliable seller, and also gave me a mini checklist on what should I check for...

Congrats! Now for a unique shot... meet up your gal during the weekends, get a longer NATO strap, strap the watch onto your neck, ask her to use the phone cam and take a picture. Tell her... Re: Seiko Red Tooth Monster vs Citizen Air Diver
TS, do you post in hwz as well? thought I've seen your nick before. well anyway, my vote goes to the monster - if you're talking about just base on looks. if you're considering other factors like wearing it for work on a daily basis? then perhaps the citizen is a better dress watch to look at. then...

Re: Seiko Red Tooth Monster vs Citizen Air Diver
So I went down to K2 today to change my strap for my 171, and change the battery for my other watch. The gentleman before me bought more than $100 worth of straps! Own up who is it?! Anyway Mr Goh was really a really nice guy, brought out a whole stack of straps to show me. Didn't make me feel uneas...

Re: Seiko Red Tooth Monster vs Citizen Air Diver
The Monster is a fun watch, but I'd say it looks slightly out of place under a shirt cuff. Full disclosure: while the above is true, I haven't let that stop me... ;) http://imageshack.us/a/img225/6134/imagebzt.th.jpg Ahhh. So you do have both watches. Haha. Shiok ah. Don't have to choose between th...

Re: Seiko Red Tooth Monster vs Citizen Air Diver
While I like the Monster, the Citizen is made of titanium and monocoque to boot. The type of extension clasp on this watch is a great addition, and really should be used on more Citizens. It's ratcheting like the MM300's, yet not as finicky and much easier to open, though otoh it does not open as m...

Re: Seiko Red Tooth Monster vs Citizen Air Diver
What i see is a clear difference between a all mechanical versus hybrid system. The concern i have in mine, will be after sales serviceability, even when warranty finishes. On looks, the CITIZEN is a clear classic and conservative design, the BLOODY FANGs SEIKO is a cult piece. No fight, Monster ov...

Re: Seiko Red Tooth Monster vs Citizen Air Diver
As much as i like the Citizen , it has quartz accuracy & Eco Drive charging system . I vote the Seiko bloody Monster , it looks Vicious . 8-) Haha yeah that was what drew me to the Bloody monster as well. Looks very fierce. Haha. But one consideration I have is that it might be too big for my puny ...

Re: All members, please come in & introduce youselves
Hi guys I'm new to this forum. Got my first Seiko maybe 3 or 4 years back, from a fellow forummer at HWZ.
Embarassingly I do not have a real collection of watches. Only 3 watches now, an skx171, luminox 3051, and a timex sports watch.

Seiko Red Tooth Monster vs Citizen Air Diver
Would appreciate some input from seniors here. After all, it's all your fault. I came into this forum looking to get a replacement strap for my skx171. Then started browsing around the forum a little. One thing led to another and boom, i feel like buying another watch! Decided to use my birthday nex...
