Re: Is SBBN015 Quartz Tuna worth buying

WOW ! ! ! If you're starting with the Emperor, and now thinking of getting the SBBN015, you're working your way down ;) Jokes aside, I'm hoping to one day work my way up to the Emperor. :D As for the Battery change, I've not had to change mine yet, but I don't think you need to send it all the way t...

Re: From PhotoShop to Reality :)

Beautiful, did you get the dial separately or changed out from an existing stargate? I actually purchased this Modded White Stargate from the SCWF Trade page. http://i957.photobucket.com/albums/ae58/d12go4/380a3b87-33d6-4c4f-a320-79c832e3e47c_zps7623c6eb.jpg Than had Mr.Goh transfer the dial and Ch...

Re: From PhotoShop to Reality :)

Thanks man. I was not sure if I should also use the Black outlined Stargate Hands in the Sardine, they would definitely be more easy to read. But in the end I decided to just change the Dial and Chapter Ring, and keep the Sardine Hands. So far, I don't have a problem reading the time :D MANoj The mo...

Re: Is SBBN015 Quartz Tuna worth buying

I had been a Seiko Automatic "snob" for the longest time. I had a prejudice against Quartz movements, thinking that true collectors don't like them. But with age came clarity  Now this SBBN015 has pride of place in my humble collection :D Best thing to do is try one one, than you will know ...

From PhotoShop to Reality :)

I've always wanted a nice white dialed Seiko Automatic Tuna.... But as Seiko didn't manufacture one, I played around in Photoshop to come up with a modified SRP227 Sardine with parts from a White Stargate. ================== PhotoShop rendition ================== http://i957.photobucket.com/albums/a...

Re: Bought yesterday..Mini-Mod Today :)

Hey Guys

If I wanted to get one of the Black Bezels from the SRP229 or SRP231, would Thong Sia provide just the Bezel ?

If can, do they need the specific part number, or would they be able to work based on the watch model number ?

Thanks in advance

Yah, I think the Black Bezel will be the icing on the cake.

Bought yesterday..Mini-Mod Today :)

Was at K2 yesterday, to get Mr. Goh to do some Mods for me. While there, he showed me a Golden Sardine, a.k.a. the SRP 236, with full box set. The price was very attractive, so I grabbed it. The main part of this watch that I like, is the Copper coloured Dial, but I'm not a big fan of the brown stra...

Was at K2 last evening to get Mr.Goh to do some Mods for me

I made the "mistake" of asking him if he had any nice Seikos on offer

Went home with this one :D

Re: Project Watch #2 Official Chit Chat Thread

I've voted on the frequecy part  But for the Watch Base, any chance we can also consider adding the SRP series of Sardines ? I understand Harold (Yobokies) is working on custom Bezels for the SRP as well. With Harold's SS Shroud, custom Dial/Hands..and maybe even a custom Bezel...it's be a ...
