Collectible.... depends on your definition. If you are looking for a 8F56 watch (8F series HEQ, plus GMT!) to add to the mix, then yes it is. Agreed that testing for 10ATM is an overkill, I'll be happy if my 6138s are slightly water resistant (ie 3ATM) to keep out the humidity, rain/water splashes .

Being an old piece.... very few had gone to test for water resist.... WR is perform when you have change all the gaskets... many had gone to 10ATM (330 feet) pressure test but in actual case most will start to leak before 99 feet..... Wu bo 70m wr on the dial.... all 6138s are rated at 70m. ;) So w...

So anyone knows the actual water resist rating for the "non 70m rated" 6138s ?? If I send a 6138 for water resist test at which ATM should I request it to be tested for ?

I don't use rubber/plastic straps, but have had encounters with springbar failures, metal bracelet failures (while overseas!).
For safety I use NATO straps, hopefully they won't fail on me ...
