Side ball bearing indicates the hour and Front ball bearing indicates minutes, so it is 8:35.

You guys are right, couldn't be further from the truth. After I bought this in People's Park Complex, I went back and bought another Seiko. And I went back again and bought a Citizen diver for my wife! Talk about contracting the disease!
Now I keep eyeing the ssc017 with the blue and black bezel...save me!!!
