SBGM021 (Ivory) or SBGM031 (blue) ?

Post by Beginner1 » 28 Oct 2014 15:31

Hi Bros,
If I wish to add a Seiko dress watch with GMT function in near future, and 2 models which catch my attention: SBGM021 (ivory dial) ; SBGM031 (blue dial). Which dial, in your opinion is more appealing? ( regardless of their price difference or whether ltd edition or regular one) Thanks in advance.

Hmmm... and i thought that the color looks much more like cream...
Ivory it is! More classic! More diverse compatibility with any other colored straps!

Hi bros, Many tks for your inputs. Buy both not possible la... Usually I will pick safe color like silver, white or cream dial for dress watch. But I saw in the website the blue one comes wif a interesting blue rotor very nice looking. Here's the picture from the website. ImageImage anyone who own both these 2 dials can elaborate?

I have the SBGM031 (blue dial).

Personally, to me the SBGM021 ivory dial looks nice, and easier to find matching straps. Though, the dial does look a little bit cluttered given its white background.

The SBGM031 blue dial is somewhat not easy to come by, and does stand out as different. ..Its matte gold GMT makes it look quite elegant.

Bro Ronnie and Chief of Defence Sir,
tks. Another question, under normal office lighting, is the readability acceptable? This is kind of deep blue dial...

I would reckon that it is more visible than the ivory one, as the hands and hour markings are shiny silver, giving a good contrast to the dark matte blue face..
