Why can't reach to 88? Seiko Club SG have 669 members and everyone should be proud to own the 2nd forum watch. Beside this is a memorable watch that we should be proud of. Don't u agree?

Played along but best is not to have serial numbers. Can just have no. of pieces made on back, so 30 pieces just print No. 30/30 or 40/40 etc.. Just IMHO

Certainly... your eyes is not playing tricks with you...
You see more than 600 members registered to this forum, we as well... However, when we look into details, 30 or 50 planned for making a forum themed anniversary commemorative piece is a logical decision.
Here's why...
Out of these more than 600++ members, close to 40% are lurkers. They register, but often just browse on discussion topics. Even if they post, they total post counts may not be more than 20 even they may have joined for more than a year.
The active ones, makes up about 20% or a little more, whose posts counts are more than 30 since they joined.(u may verify this by clicking the member listing next to the logout link @ the top right hand of the main page, or any other page. When the list appears, click the post count and filter, you'll see the active ones occupies only 7 page out of the whole 27 page of members listed).
Then u may need to factor in, who're the foreigners who are staying in SG, who're not. Who're pro jap watches, who're not(especially when pricing comes into concern, whether the movement specs justifies the price). Lastly not to forget, the final design appeals to how many registered for the project watch...

Eventually it comes down to 30 or 50 lor... hopefully this helps...

I'm also for the idea of no serial numbers, but if everyone is keen, I'll take number 10 please.

Now I know why but i really wish every member can participate in this forum watch. It not easy to have this forum watch.

It's not easy... especially when a base is decided, then just on the discussion on the design of the dial or the logo of the forum, it could drag more than 3 months to decide... And then when the final design is decided, some who initially have high interest on the commemorative piece, will pull out in the last few weeks before production and sourcing commence due to dislike on the decided design or other matters, ending up affecting on the final decided production quantity...
For your reference, check out on the other section of the forum for the discussions on the recently dispatched 2nd year anniversary watch.

yes... we're discussing about the 2nd FORUM WATCH. The one i mentioned is a 2nd ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATIVE watch, which is past tense liaoz...
In the 1st Anniversary of this forum gathering, the only thing that we can have to remember, is a NATO strap... that only until this year i found one MONSTER that can pair with it...

Chill guys, haven't seen anything already picking your serial numbers.

We are still debating on the watch base.

As like any good forum project, there's always different milestones, 1 step at a time. :)
Not as active.
