Not necessary to buy new. There are mint condition preowned ones appearing quite often on watch forums if you feel like saving a few hundred bucks. Good luck.

If it were me, I would get the Spring Drive tuna instead as I wana try a SD watch. But of course, it will be more expensive.

Get a preowned emperor.. Damage will be lower unless it is meant for keeper..
Start slow.. Slowly moving up the level.. so many tunas to play with..

I have seen some tunas on the net going for difference of 100
One has the word marinemaster, and the other without the wordings
One has a luminous mini ring on the outer 12, 6 & 9 indicators hence
my confusion.
Anyone got an explanation on the difference?

Buying new - give you feeling of a virgin watch. More expensive.
Buying used - somehow you think she's been used and been manhandled by another. Save at least a little usually.

Buying the emperor after the quartz, there is a big heft difference. Especially between the 300m and the 1000M. Less so between the 1000m quartz vs auto.

The Emperor is like an all DLC watch but the historical or a 6159 adds that little bit of SS to the watch IMO.

End of the day, if you have a chance to try it first, that's the best. And always buy what you like not what others like or what they say has best resale. ;)
Enjoying Japanese, Swiss, Germans & Micros quartz or mechanical, solar/Eco or kinetic, electronic

Time is one's best friend or worst enemy. You can't stop her or contain her but you can use her or watch her go by!
