How important is the correct date to you?
How important is the correct date to you?
I am a bit of OCD and have in the past, adjusted the date as per the day whenever I rotate my watches.
But after a while, I started to just adjust the time and wear it for the day. If I have to check the date, there is always the phone, or my colleagues, or my wife, or whoever is next to me to check (ok sometimes I kanna the deadly stare, "look at your @%#* watch"....that's besides the point).
I am also trying to look for watches without the date function, but there are limited choices.
So, just curious, how important is the correct date to you on your watch?

Date/Day is very important to me
even for those non-quickset models, i will set to the exact date slowly via 24hrs

The correct date is essential for my work...hence i prefer watches with date or day date display. One with annual calendar complication is on my hit list.

It is very important to me Bro. I can't explain it but if not correct it's like something is missing.nutty wrote:I am a bit of OCD and have in the past, adjusted the date as per the day whenever I rotate my watches.

I adjusted the date wrong recently. Only got to know that I set the date wrongly after I took a picture of the watch and wanted to post on the wruw thread. Wanted to close one eye but I just couldn't. Lol

Yes, it's a strange thing. But give it some time.... There's hopeAndoy wrote:

Too lazy to adjust date. Preferences is to get watches with no date.

Re: How important is the correct date to you?
To me having the correct ime and date is important. Otherwise why do we fuss about COSC or other time standards. If too lazy or not bothered to adjust then just wear a no date watch or a quartz perpetual..just my 2cents
Re: How important is the correct date to you?
no date never mind, I got old flower eyes, got date also cannot see without my glasses *sigh*

But you look so young on your avatar....!!! Unless it was a shot taken many years back....heehee.Trident wrote:no date never mind, I got old flower eyes, got date also cannot see without my glasses *sigh*
With "old flower eyes", I tend to appreciate cyclops on watches more - if there is a date function.
Alternatively, watches with big date windows would also come in handy.
