Opinion On Citizen NY0040 Diver
Anyone owns a watch like this one?
I believe they have a full lumed dial version as well. Whats your opinion of the watch? Hows the quality of the lume?

can consider this citizen 200m diver, also quite nice.
Re: Opinion On Citizen NY0040 Diver
Thanks! Was actually considering the full lumed dial version... since i dont have any lumed dial time pieces in my collection.
Re: Opinion On Citizen NY0040 Diver
Not a bad citizen diver.... the blue dial is real striking swee.... lighter than a seiko diver and dun wear big.... but the lume is not in seiko level!sys12345 wrote:Anyone owns a watch like this one?

Re: Opinion On Citizen NY0040 Diver
used to have this variant & Triodeman has the full lume variant.
Had it for a few months but not much wrist time for it,nice design with decent lume but the size can't grow on me, if you're used to a SKX diver's size, this will wear smaller than a SKX. only advantage over the SKXs is only the handwind part

Re: Opinion On Citizen NY0040 Diver
The case size is supposed to be 42mm, i'm surprised to hear that its a little small. Think i'll have to see one in the flesh first as i'm not so fond of under sized divers.

yeah, best to try it on 1st, maybe this case is not as chunky as a SKX case hence the overall 'feel' is different

Re: Opinion On Citizen NY0040 Diver
Oh No... not an Eco-Drive !!!
I like the implementation of the GMT function for this one but Its once bitten twice shy for me... thanks for the suggestion but i'll pass on this one.

Re: Opinion On Citizen NY0040 Diver
I got both the black and the fully lumed and frankly prefer these over the SKX series (i got a few). These citizen diver is seriously underrated, considering the price they r selling.sys12345 wrote:Anyone owns a watch like this one?

Re: Opinion On Citizen NY0040 Diver
Whats the typical performance of this movement? Something like +/- 20 secs/day ?

Re: Opinion On Citizen NY0040 Diver
Both mine run ard +5 to +10sec.. Generally, i got a better opinion for the miyota 8k series vs Seiko 7s series.. So far all my miyota watches ( i got 7) run quite well and i like that they can be hand winded, unlike the 7s or even the new 4r15.. I just hope citizen come out new divers with their new 9015 movement since the others boutique divers r already using them.
Re: Opinion On Citizen NY0040 Diver
Sounds pretty decent for a basic movement. I've had worse experience with the Seiko 7SX6 movements.... -20 secs/day is pretty normal.
While the new 9015 movement should bring about better performance, i suppose we'll probably have to pay a much higher price for a diver installed with this movement.
