Simple, create or buy a PMMM or Not-So-PMMM! ;)

Given a choice between the SKX007 and the Sumo, I'd go with.... the Samurai! (man, Seiko really needs to bring that one back) Otherwise, SKX007 on its classic looks. (but then again, I don't own one now, so.... :P)

For me it's the 007. Reason is because it is my first Seiko recommended by my 2 best buddies here in SC during edmw days and it also marks my first step into the world of watches...
Die die also will not flip one
But i have to agree with CEO, the SKX is best paired with the president bracelet :P

I don't really like the sumo due to the 20mm lug width, it just seems so wrong and disproportional on a watch that big. But have to give credit to Seiko for making it comfortable to wear despite it being a relatively big watch.

On the flipside, I only like the 007 on a leather nato/zulu (as what CEO have shown) or on a president/hammer bracelet, and wish it wears slightly bigger than its 42mm width :D

SKX007 is a classic.. no nonsense-tough-as-nails-evergreen movement which will be long lived like the vintage 6309 in years to come.
my first seiko 200m diver was an skx007j.
same sentiments as CEO, i only like the president bracelet on the skx.
however, after wearing it for a while, i do find it a little top heavy and the crown protector digs into the back of my wrist. so comfort level for me was only so-so.

Recently, I have kept the sc skx base watch, as i can not bring myself to mod it, so i have purchased the murphy bezel and the pvd insert instead.

Sumo on the other hand, was a love at first sight for me. The blue sumo in particular.
I bought it new in mid 2009, in my first trip to Tokyo. So it has some sentimental value, that's one reason why i have not flipped it yet - and i dont think i ever will.
What i love about it:
- the ever changing blue color of the dial and bezel (from light to dark - almost black, depending on viewing angle and light conditions)
- chrome index markers that match the chrome outlined hands
- great lume
- big and thick bezel, which, if you noticed is "hidden" into the case (see my pic)
- curved lugs that sits nicely on smaller wrist
- 6r15 movt with handwinding and hack is a nice upgrade to the 7s

I like the classic diver look and feel of the 007. that simple black looking bezel with the tooth like at the side makes it a very attractive no nonsense diver. in fact it can be a dress watch or causal at any time. like CEO mentioned very classy when pair with president bracelet. the only thing that pull me off is the ball end tip of the second hand. I would prefer the 'ball' to be at the front instead like those you see in 6309s.

on the other hand I was never attracted to the sumo. the smooth looking bezel with large numbing don't look too good to be. and when you wear makes you feel that you should be extra careful with it. but I would prefer the lume and that 'camel toe' HEEHEE design as well as the second hand. however I find it a bit hard to pair with a leather strap for formal occasions.

so well to sum it up 007 for me please :P
