My Grail Tuna!

Hello everyone, my fascination with tunas mean that I gradually collected quite a number of tunas in my collection. But after all these years I had yet to snag a particular LE grail shrouded diver.

Thanks to a TZ-UK member, Pipat I finally managed to acquire this beauty.
So what is it? Lets join me in the unboxing!!

Here is the box - fresh from the PO. (as you can see this was taken in the car - cannot wait till I get home!! )

A hint of what is to come…

The paperwork… (and screws??)
Image
Ahhh yes.. I can almost smell the beauty…
Image
And here it is!!! The SBDX005 LE!!
Image Image

She truly is a grand dame amongst tunas!!!

The previous owner swapped out the screws for these custom made ones. That explains the screws in the bag.

Some more pics of the beauty… Image Image
Did not like this particular Seiko strap and this is obviously a replacement strap . So I put it on a Wjean mesh. Perfect!! (and I did place back the original screws )

The SBDX005 has very similar aesthetics to the original 6159-7010. This is due to the similar combination of black and metal finish for both of them. Both have black dial, black shroud, black insert with metal bezel, metal case (not pvd). IMO this interplay of play and metal finish works very well and makes both the 6159-7010 and the SBDX005 very easy to match with bracelet and straps.
Here are the 2 of them together Image
Image

As you can see, one has a polished SS mesh and the other a PVD mesh – both looks good!!
The 005 sits a bit taller.

With the SBDX005 and a couple more recent tunas, my case is now full of tunas!! Image
This year has been a good year for the Tuna King! ;)

Thanks to all those who have helped me in my Tuna journey this year - just to name a few - Cosmograph, Lunarin, Big-E, Seikosiao, Mr Goh, Manoj.

I will post again with more pics of my caseful of tunas ;)

Thanks for reading!

very nice.....IMHO tuna with 8L35 is better buy compared to mm300, more iconic and unique in design.
