Orient Automatic Diver 300m Worth Buying?

The model is SEL02002B,

Had the opportunity to hold one at the shop, it feels really good and size is nice. Is this watch worth buying for what it is? I am not too much of a technical guy on movement and beats per second..... I'm more of a visual and fit feel watch buyer.

The cost is about the same as the Seiko SBDC007 but not had a chance to hold or try one and I already have a SBDC001.

If u like it buy it lor. That's a 2013 orient sat diver with the 40n5a caliber right? It handwinds and hacks so comparable to the 6r15 in the sbdc007. Might also wanna consider orient m force diver, some of them also use the same 40n5a movement but much cheaper.

The Orient Sat diver is hefty and looks good but it appeals to certain people only.

I would say it is usually measured against the SBDX001 though IMO is prob one level below in terms of finish and movement. Orient's movement wise is similar to a 6R15 which is used across a range of Seikos and the specs are similar. Apparently parts are also interchangeable with Seiko and servicing is quite easy for the Orient.

It's hard to compare to a shogun simply because that is Titanium and feels completely different from a SS watch like the sumo.

At the end of the day, Buy what you like! That's the most important, not what others say.

Thanks for the advice guys! Sorry I do not know what a 40n5a is...movement? Nor anything about 6R15.
Agree that at the end of the day, I should buy what i like. Just want to be a little cautious, before I spend the money.

This piece is huge. The reserve indicator makes it diff from other divers.

Yes, I really like it when I was holding a white face today and bought one. Really like the weight and seize, not to mention the power indicator.

I like the dial and the PR but not the case as it is not interesting, not scuplted like a Sumo or the MM300.
If it were me, I'd spend the money on 2 micro brand divers instead with 28800 bph

I would give it a pass. It's not in the same class as a sumo.

Actually I think the Saturation divers are better in almost every way vs Sumo? Just that the price is a lot higher?

I bought this when it newly launched, near SGD1.9 IIRC. Now Japanese Yen drop substantially and I think it should be much much lower.
