I hope to carry on the good work of our past management teams, while proactively seeking to establish a new management style that allows us to promptly respond to customer expectations and changes in the market environment. I sincerely ask for your continued support.

Since its founding in 1950, ORIENT WATCH has focused on mechanical watches and offered highly unique products that have aimed to delight customers in Japan and abroad. One recent trend that has captured the attention of the public is the emergence of products known as smartwatches.

In addition to the basic watch function of telling time, smartwatches are compatible with mobile phones and are equipped with many digital functions. These products are becoming established in a new category of products called wearable devices.

Customer needs and choices are expanding. ORIENT WATCH hopes to achieve a higher level of innovation in its stronghold of mechanical watches, while at the same time taking full advantage of the Group’s management resources to offer value that exceeds the expectations of its customers.

Best regards,
June 1, 2015

It's just a matter of time for watches as well.
Just take the mobile phone for example.
When it first started out, it's just for making calls.
But now, it's part phone, part tablet, part PC, part TV...etc...
