Hi all,

Just a quick hi to all you guys here. Very interesting forum and ppl here.

Encourage by Roo7 to post and not "lurk" anymore.

Quick opinion question:

Anyone here familier about Seiko Prospex model SBCM 023?

This is the one with a smaller case at 38mm if I am not wrong.

What are your thought on this particular model?

Any input welcomee!

Welcome,

Some literature put the case at 39mm (without crown).
I would say it's a nice modern quartz diver (long battery life -- 8 yrs).
I do NOT need another watch , I have enough watches ...

Hi there.. :P
welcome to SCS.

I had the opportunity to own this beautiful mid size perpetual calendar SBCM023 diver(later sold cheaply to local bro). It seems that this watch isnt categorized Prospex series for nothing ,which the quality finishing tells a lot.

Using 8F35 +/-20 secs per year -HEQ movement with 10 year battery,I find it an accurate no fuss watch,no need to worry about the accuracy. And it wears well on my wrist and think its a good size for 6- 6.5 wrist. next thing is the quality bracelet with diver extension (IIRC).

After all it comes with the prospex box and a JDM,the value of it will stay upwards especially after its been discontinued. Looking at the sbcm023 sales threads now, kinda regret selling mine last time....

:?

(extracted from some google source);

The SBCM023 also features a perpetual calendar, so the date will adjust itself for leap years and months with less than 31 days. Sadly, you do have to adjust for leap seconds manually.

Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't
own it, but you can use it. You can't keep
it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it
you can never get it back.

i had this watch before. very nice very compact, good for sports and swim. but i did not grow on the size. not that i don't like small watches, i have small watches too but after awhile i cannot accept a smaller than normal Diver.

it's discont i think so may be harder to find. 8-)

Not asking you, asking YM's opinion. For me there isn't a conceptually normal size, and it isn't just a function of size, it is weight, design, and heritage also.
