Haloo every1.

how do I intro myself?
My name is Keith, 34 single and and I work in a SME.

To start off, I m not a fan of seiko really.
to me, seiko is just a everyday and everyone's watch. nothing really fasinating about it.

So, how did I ended up here?
LOL......... my friend told me about this forum as he too, as he coined it himself, siao seiko recently.
I cant help but keep seeing him changing watches every now and then and eventually he is constantly on this nice looking rolex sub lookalike watch.
Of course, between friends I like to SUAN him big time.

until he told me, this sub lookalike seiko cost him 7+ grand.
WTF! I cant helped but laugh till I flipped.
Nothing ends off with a good laugh and he was kind enough to lend me his mm300 as he said it is the same as what he was wearing but only difference is not a LE.

I am quite apprenhensive at first.
But, over the next few days, I am very fond of the mm.
It sits better on my wrist than sub and feels as solid as a rolex.

I am really tempted and wanted to get hold of this pic.
And not forgetting, the price is a fraction of rolex.
Now, maybe I should relook into my perspective of seiko.

In the meantime, hi to all of you.

nice intro about urself bro.

yeah, you're right, people tend to laugh off their theeth when they hear about a 7k Seiko

it's the mindset of most singaporeans. why spend 7k on a seiko when u can easily get a rolex with that amount & not forgetting the brand recognition ;)

but once you handle the actual piec, be it a GS or a MM300.

the difference is there

this piece?

hi bro!
welcome to the world of Seiko!

ofcourse, bros here are not only seiko siao, but also collect swiss, german, russian, chinese (and many others) made watches. Generally we all appreciate VFM and good design watches.
Please feel free to share and contribute your views, pictures or just TCSS (as most of us do)

btw, i am curious since you mentioned: "...he was kind enough to lend me his mm300 as he said it is the same as what he was wearing but only difference is not a LE."
is it this piece? (photo courtesy from Yeoman - sorry bro, borrow your pic!)

if it is, that is very nice piece! :D

looking forward to you posting your own MM300 pic

Hi all...

I am from SG-ROC, and found my way here about a month ago. I have a love for old divers & have been collecting & researching vintage
Rolex subs and dwellers for a good 18 years now.

Funny thing is...I am finally a little bored of Rolexes! So I have been reading up on vintage Seiko divers this year. I have a lot to learn from you guys here...so please teach!

My hoots this year till date are as follows,

1. Skx779 (New)
2. Skx781 (New)
3. Skx007 (New)
4. Skx009 (New)
5. 7002-700A
6. 7C43-7010
7. 7002-7001
8. 6309-7040

3 of the 4 vintages were bought from bros here.

My Next targets are 6306-7000, 6306-7001(Scubapro) & any [Divers from 1977 (My Birthyear) 6105,6306,6309]

I guess that's about it....See you guys at the gathering!

Cheers!

Hi guys! I guess an introduction of myself is long overdue. (i only just discovered this thread today!)

I'm 24 this year, work in a local SME in the Events industry, still studying part time and hopefully someday be able to hoot watches like most of you guys :)

It was the SKX007 that attracted me to Seiko. Prior to that, my impression of Seiko was the "Toyota" of the watchmaking industry. I was looking for a "proper" watch (my previous watches were all G-shocks and a Fossil, pretty much "ah boy" stuff) and i chanced upon the SKX007. After researching some more, i found another model that i loved even more, the SRP043.

It took a little considering as i'm usually pretty careful (or stingy, you might say :p) with my money. When i posted in SWX and someone contacted me about his SRP043, i had to take a look as i had only seen the watch from pictures prior to that. Once i saw the watch, there was no turning back. I took my money out immediately.

And i haven't looked back since! It's become my daily watch now and i'm loving every minute of it on my wrist.

I've also set my sights on the MM300 :P but must save up first, that one quite "chor". :D hahahaha...

Sorry for the lengthy introduction, HELLO ALL!
Nikolas, with the "K".

Hi All

Been lurking around this forum for quite awhile already.
Got the watch bite last year when I was hunting for a new watch to replace my tired G-Shock.
Never look back since then.

My other interest are car detailing and denim.
