Consider the record sales is 20 million copies.... It is not so rare after all.

This one actually more rare. The original release only 1,000 CD copies were pressed. Made in West Germany by Sonopress. The subsequent presses are either from France or EU.

Aiyah, 25 years ago people didn't know the value and used the CD as flying saucers, decorative items, baby toys, art & craft, threw them away during spring cleaning, etc mah. How many actually survived till now and still in usable condition? I am referring to the first pressing, not the 20th anniversary edition hor.

The 20 million record sales refer to the original 1985 release alone.

Oh, not forgetting uncles use CDs as bicycle reflectors, kopitiams use them to repel birds and STPB uses them to decorate Little India during Deepavali.

Lady Gaga's "clamor" give me throbbing headaches and earaches. I prefer something more mellow and well-recorded, such as this...

I've Got The Music In Me - Thelma Houston and Pressure Cooker

Hmm, thanks for the tip Bro, I'll give it a try this CD, if I can find it.

For now it is Three Doors Down with Here Without You.

Good morning SCS!

I doubt you can find this CD easily in Singapore. It took me almost 20 years to locate an original "direct-from-the-masters" copy. And even if you do managed to find one, expect to pay at least S$100 for the US pressing. Mine is Japanese pressing.

The "authorized" 翻刻版 can be found locally and is selling for S$28. I had it once but the sound quality is so different (not necessary bad if you have NOT heard the original "direct-from-the-masters" version before) that I had to return it to the seller.

The problem is I have heard the original "direct-from-the-masters" CD version at my friend's place and I could still remember how good it sounded. Better if you can obtain a copy of the original "direct-to-disc" LP. It is worth a lot of money these days.

Another wonderful album. No, no, this is not a tributary album to remember the great man after his passing last year. This album came out in 1985 when Mandela was still in Pollsmoor Prison.
