Hi everyone, I am Andoy from the Philippines but I am based here in Singapore, and my first love is a Seiko 6309-7040.

When I started working in 1988, I spent my first salary on a 6309, unfortunately not on my first love but on a 7290. I still have it to this day and she is still running strong.

I arrived Singapore in 1996 and from then on I have built my small collection of Seikos and some Swiss. I collect mechanical watches, both manual winding and automatic. I am more on diver's watches though I also have a couple of pilot watches.

First up, the Swiss:

Panerai Luminor Marina PAM 00111
Fortis Pilot's Professional Automatic Chronograph (Valjoux 7750)
Sinn 142ST Automatic Space Chronograph (Lemania 5100)

Now the Seikos:

6105-8119
6309-7040
6309-7290
7002-700J
Seiko 5 SNZF17K1 "Sea Urchin"
Seiko 5 SKZ231K "Map Meter"
Prospex Marine Master SBDX011 "Emperor Tuna"

That's it for now.

Cheers!

Hi guys, long time lurker here and first time posting.
Id like to start off by saying this is really a nice site with lots of information and friendly advice.
I started my love of watches at 4 yrs old. I couldnt even tell time yet. I think i liked them because they made you look "grown up". My parents wouldnt get me a watch until i could tell time. It took me a year to become fluent in "horocryptography".(Remember, they didnt have digital clocks back then)
I recieved my first watch, a Timex, on Christmas day, 1969.
I have worn a watch on my wrist almost every single day since that day.
Ive never been rich, and probably never will be, so my choice in watches is probably pale in comparison to most of you guy's collections. But rest assured my love of watches is just as deep as yours.
Through out the years my taste in watches has changed slightly, but i am still facinated by the little machines you wear on your wrist.

Hi,
This is my 1st post. Just registered yesterday. I don't own a Seiko yet. But my journey started when I decided to get a dress watch after many years on wearing cheapo digital Casio watch. Naturally began to look at the Casio Edifice series, and as I research more, I've also look at Seiko, and found my way here. I don't own a Seiko yet, or any dress watch, still procrastinating.

I notice diver watch seem to be popular choice for Seiko collectors. Seems like a choice made by most to begin this hobby.

hello hello!, discovered this wonderful website by chance while looking for a site where i could purchase a nice starter seiko divers, plus i have friends who have some nice timepieces which after listening to them endlessly discussing about the next timepiece to get, one thing led to another, i started reading and looking at the different watches out there and have grown pretty fond of quite a few.

my daily beater is nothing to shout about, a regular casio g-shock mud resist. Also i have in my drawer a nice (but not working) brietling which was given to me by a family member.

i'm looking to expand my knowledge here, and maybe even a new hobby?? haha, anyways, hello from a newbie!
