Calling all runners, pls check in here.
Share with us your favorite distant, routes and any other running related info.
I started running 3 years ago and have been running 3-4 times weekly.
Usually run between 5 to 15 km and my goal is 30km weekly.
Fav routes are Bishan Park 1 & 2. It's linked to Potong Pasir PCN, which is near my house. The end of Park 2 is close to Lower Peirce Reservoir, plenty of open spaces, but can be crowded on weekends.
Next is Upper Peirce Reservoir, this is a must for all runners, the slopes and scenery is something to remember by.
MacRitchie Reservoir, the trail at MR is legendary. Weekends are filled with people out for a challenge.

monkeys are plentiful at Upper Peirce, consider a menace by the residents there!

I'm just an occasional jogger. I hope to jog at MacRitchie though, may be during this coming school holidays. It's torturing but finishing it feels really shiok.

Ya, MacRitchie is a tough route to run, I stop and walk when the trail gets too tough, dun want to fall n hurt myself. Takes me 1.5 hours to complete the 11km route.

I do 10k every weekend, around Chinese Garden. Will do 2.4k of interval once or twice a week around a track as well.

Recently started to jog after getting a new pair of running shoes.
Din know that running shoes is so costly nowadays. Always use SAF issued PT shoe for jogging previously.

My route starts at the park connector behind my place around stagmont ring, go all the way to the end of the connector near sungei kadut then loop back. Bout 3~3.5km (i guess) but enuff for me.

Running shoes aren't cheap, but well worth the money. I used to just run with SAF shoes too, but it was only when I bought New Balance that I realised SAF shoes tend to be heavier. Better protection for feet, but not efficient for medium distance.

Recently got the NB 1260 for my flat feet, it made a world of difference from the SAF standard issue PT shoes.
