Who Will Win World Cup 2014

Post by zeikphur » 02 Jul 2014 09:37

Am surprise no one started a thread on World Cup.

After a gruelling series of 32 matches stretched across 20 days of
caffeine intoxicated mornings, the last 8 teams have emerged for the quarter finals.

Although with the absence of powerhouse Spain, the azzurro and Steven Gerrard(lol), the welcoming of dark horse Belgium, as well
as Columbia do inject a breath of fresh air for the tournament. The only unexpected team for me had to be Costa Rica in the last 8. Bear in mind, Singapore Pools's rate for them was 1:300 way before the jousting began, and now its at 1:24. They are definitely a force to be reckon with.

The last 8:

France vs Germany

Brazil vs Columbia

Argentina vs Belgium

Netherlands vs Costa Rica

Who do you think will win the World Cup this year?

Argentina for me.

Columbia, Belgium, Netherlands and Costa Rica all never win WC before. I think the darkest horse is Netherlands from this pool.

Wow no love for Brazil as of now lol

I am very impressed with Columbia's performance, esp with the rise of starlet James Rodríguez, stepping up on World Cup stage. Imagine if Falcao wasn't injured....

Hope they beat overrated Brazil on their turf. Lol

if falcao is around, tactics might change and things might be different and they might not be where they are now.

I classify flops as those supposed to do well but did not. In this sense, I would rate Spain as the biggest flop and not England as they were never expected to go far in this tournament.

Player wise I would rate Ronaldo as a disapointment.

I would say that there is a good chance for a Germany vs Netherlands final. After that, I would really like the Netherlands to win but logic would give it to the Germans.
