Post by lunarin79 » 02 Mar 2013 21:22

I was browsing thru WUS & saw this model FS(sold by now).

A guy whom I met last week, told me this particular model is difficult to find, this particular Explorer style.

I saw this watch at Tanjong Katong Complex but iirc, the logo is different, it looked like this

anybody owns this model?

or any opinions on this model?

ETA 2824, price tag is S$600+ ;)

Erm.. Me loh. Not much opinion, except that it is well made, and back then costs below $300 from Mustafa. Design-wise it's not the most original I've owned

I was at Bencoolen yesterday and there is this shop call Mei Mei... Remember they have a section on Sandoz.. But I can only recall seeing some sub like models.. Didn't pay any attention to the rest.

But the Explorer model is nice... 36 or 40mm?

ot a bit, since i got into watches, i think i had not step inside there b4.

b4 i knew k2, i had wanted to get springbars, not sure of the sizes either 24mm or 26mm n didnt bring a sample, walked in and asked $6 a pc!! lucky i mentioned its either 24 or 26, they hesitated to sell me!!! instead ask me bring sample

i bought later at 3d for $2, subsequently i came to know of k2 from ceo and rest is history.

its rather obvious in terms of operation n size they are similar to 3D AND WINS, but always see lesser crowds inside.
Looking for m/c ebc brake pads and k&n air filter, PM me.

Bro, if you are looking for spring bars, try this "stall" outside Bencoolen.. It's a push cart stall run by a uncle and his wife. It is usually seen along the Fu Lu Shou building (the one that sells a lot Buddhist and Fung shui thing? Opposite the food centre?) this uncle has a small stall with a Chinese signboard.... Does repairs for watches etc and has a wide variety of spring bar. Cost is like $3-4 also.

Discont long time ago...law suit model, correct?

The Sandoz Explorer "3" is widely distributed in multibrand store. I used to have one myself, after modding the hands to the Mercedes ones instead of the original gold bars:

It's still a pretty good tribute... My 2 cents.
