Hmm... after such a long period in this forum, as well as others, i see that more and more folks acceptance to Chinese Chrono movement are growing in numbers. So... i guess the time is right in starting a thread about the most popular and talked about Chinese Chrono movement, the SEAGULL ST19.

I prefer the one with black dial and orange decorations. Very sexy.
The blue dial one is nice as well... however... look kind of TAG HEUER homage...

Though Chrono movements not made by SEAGULL, they're column wheel as well... priced from 310eu ~ 410eu.

I would imagine the Chinese would be more than capable to manufacture' very fine watches & calibers , i think many great watches will be made in China in the near future ;)

Personally not a fan of the ST19 movements being used outside of the Seagull brand. (As I do not think the movements are sold like ETA or the Swiss ones, just IMHO) As I prefer to know that the movements are checked before being sold. I prefer to stick with the actual brand for any Seagull movements.

Is the Ticino BF-109 based on the ST19 Seagull movement as well? I read in an article somewhere that it is.. :D

I got mine from CEO :) it gave up on me about 2 - 3 months ago, sent it back to US and now waiting for the replacement. But i really like the design :)

I am going to buy a regulator from an individual watch maker soon, after he have completed the job. will review on its make when I purchase it. :)

Do you mean your individual maker is using chinese movements or st19 for the regulator?
