Hi all, i bought the Pelican 1470 watch case with custom inserts from Quasimodo !

And here is the review :



Unpacking !



First impression.



All the barang barang inside ! Cool !



The keys for the case, mine is 1001, if just function like LV locks, random number, and can be purchase again if you lost it by quoting the number !

Got my case engraved shortly after picking up from Quasimodo !



Our Quasimodo bro work nearby and with a good stroke of luck, i manage to find the engrave service nearby, friendly lady to deal with.

Costs $10.00, 15mins waiting time, and beware the name plate that comes with the box is not easy to engrave due to the nature of the polymer.




My horology collections inspires me to work even harder in life every time I look at it.

Pros :

Its a pelican box, it can survive better than the owner in most situation.

Double safety catch lock, need some skill to open the box like a pro, really.

You can swim and float with it !

Cons :

There are no see through or glass for the box, cannot admire my collection or place my solar watches in it. It a give and take here.

The foam can be more dense, most of my watches are in titanium, so its still ok, whereas for stainless steel models, my watches tend to sink in to the slot. In the long run, i believe i need to stock up some spare single watch foam to replace.

Watches bigger than 45mm or those with thick straps dun fit well in the slot, its a common issue for sitting watch box.

Only solution :



Overall :

The box is VFM ! For the price of a new black monster, you get to protect all your other watches, and you will be glad to know that its in safe hand !
