[Review] Crepas t.a.c.t.i.c.o TC 1

Post by lunarin79 » 29 Mar 2013 22:42

Had been looking for this model since I started into Microbrands. Liked the overall look & the nice proportion of the hands & dial.

And so I began my hunt last year on international watch foums but whenever there is one FS, it will get snatched up fast and it always happened during our sleeping time due to GMT differences, lol.

So..no luck for 2012. Had considered WCT but the price is slightly off my budget, next available is the Armida A5, which runs for 550usd for a preowned piece. Armida A5 is the next closest model to a TC 1 but there's still a slight difference; brand logo, hands etc.

I was about to pull the trigger on a A5 few days ago but decided to wait 1 more day to consider.

And boy, am I glad to have delayed for a day. I was surfing a local forum when I saw this TC 1 FS, it was actually posted up for almost 2 days, HOW COULD I HAVE MISSED IT?

Next step was to meet the seller the next day

Met up with seller, collected watch, tried it on when I got home...perfect.

I was worried about the lug to lug length for it states 54mm based on other people's review on net.

In fact, it's only about 53mm.

Now, pics of this solid watch.

Solid 316L stainless steel with brushed finish with no shape edges, a plus point.

Bezel is a 1 piece s/s, no bezel insert

screwdown signed crown

3.3mm thick double domed AR sapphire crystal

signed buckle

but what attracted me to this model is the black C3 'stealth' logo. Yes, black C3 lume...and the matte finish hands

Nice caseback

some closeup shots on the bezel

of cos, not forgetting a lume shot. I didn't know the bezel is lumed as well! Very cool.

Last but not least, a wristshot on my 6" wrist.

Overall a nice piece. Though the case is not a German Fricker case but an Asian case, the build quality is still top notch.

Watch size is pretty comfortable at 46mm inclusive of crown, 16mm thick, 53mm lug to lug & 22mm lugwidth.

yup, both armida & TC 1 are similar in case design but some minor differences in the hands & dial
