Obris Morgan Pradata

Post by Stan80 » 18 Jun 2014 09:35

Having recently looking at Microbrands, OB Pradata caught my interest.

Reading and understand OB's past collections, very positive reviews are given and I know Pradata is one not to be missed.

Went to the website and begin looking at the pictures well taken featuring the watch in great zoomed shots.

Next up, the specs and features really impressed me. At this price point, this is the ice breaker. Selected the model that draws me, I placed my preorder and the waiting game started... :D

Finally after a month's wait, she arrives with a call from UPS. I am informed 2 days ago by OB the shipment will be delayed from the original 15th June to 16th June. She actually arrived on the 17th! Really fast shipment.

Well packed and protected in bubble wraps, the unwrapping starts.

The packages comes in deep green Pelican grade box and and a nicely pasted product label.

Open up the box and I am greeted with a set of cards. The instruction manual, warranty card and a microfiber cleaning cloth.
Nice thought of OB to include a cleaning cloth in.

Pradata is there in the box, sitting nicely in the center, company by the accessories. A screwdriver, a 5-ring zulu strap and a spare spring bar.

Image

On onto the main "character", the whole watch is blasted matt with very good worksmanship. The dial is beautiful. Deep blue with very nicely applied markers.

Image

The case is thick at 6mm and heavy in weight. The feel is a musculine, heavy and thick watch.

Featuring a HEV @ 9:00

1 piece solid SS with no bezel insert

Signed crown with good grip, easy to unscrew.

Flat single-side AR

A very clean dial, very visible and easy to read. I feel it will be nicer if they replaces their brand name with the logo, the watch will look better in my humble opinion.

Nice caseback

A lume shot

A wrist shot on my 6.5" wrist. The lug does not overhang, a very nice fit.

Overall a very nice piece with a good Miyota 9015 movement. The quality is top notch from OB. My first and should not be my last. :)

Yeah, the crown is screwed in easily and tight. The stem is not shaky when pull out to adjust time.

Solid build in all aspect. Main thing is very comfortable on wrist. :D

Nice watch & it look Huge.. The thick C3 lume defnitely a big improvement over the previous Obris model.
