Will do a short brief review on this piece of classic.

*Pardon the photo qualities as I'm using my company's camera and is not familiar with the settings ;)

Just bought a Tudor Classic series yesterday from Wisma Atria. Always been interested in Tudor watches after I gotten my Monarch Chronograph 15900 from K2. The quality & finishing does not lose out to its older brother, the one with 5 matchsticks. Pricewise, much affordable and servicing is hassle free as it runs on mostly ETA2824 (21010) & ETA2834 (for 23010 Date.Day).

There are a few variants of this 23010 and I personally like this variant best, with the Mosa dial.

Size of watch is 39mm excl crown & 42 incl of crown.

21mm lugwidth and it tapers down to 17mm.

A simple case design with strong thick lugs hence making the watch 'look' bigger when worn on wrist. Fixed fluted bezel with polished & matte finishing. Mixed reviews on the wide fluted bezel design, some are ok with it, some finds it ugly. I guess this is a characteristic which differentiates Tudor from Rolex's fluted bezel.

Date.Day snaps perfectly upon 12:00, screwdown crown and it's a 100m rated watch.

Bracelet is a typical Tudor 5 links oyster style which comprises of both polish & brushed finishes. Brushed finishing on both ends & polished in the centre 3 links. I like how bracelet finishing, not too bling but when worn under the sun, the polished parts will reflect beautifully without looking too gaudy.

A standard Tudor shield signed flip-lock casp, SEL with solid links.

On with the pics :D

signed Tudor Shield crown, on the case, there is an 'indent' design which makes it looks like the bezel can be rotated, I guess it's purely an aesthetic function else the side of the case will look too plain.

Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and I strongly recommend a WIS to at least try a Tudor once, not just for their Black Bay or Pelagos range but their underrated Classic series. The Glamour series might not speak to everyone (including myself) but the Classic series is definitely a good alternative if you're looking for a nice dress watch but yet, not commonly found on any other people's wrist. I really hope most people will dismiss the 'comparison' between a Tudor & a Rolex ;)

Thanks for reading :)

nice write up bro Lunarin79. I was at All Watches at Bugis to check out the Black Bay, no stock. But my friend gave me their catalog instead. I think Tudor has some very nice watches, beside the Pelagos and Black Shield there is the chrono blue or the glamor day date which I like very much.

indeed it is.

I was torn between this tt 21013 & my current 23010  tough decision

Image

but at the end, I lack a Date Day watch thus ended my headache ;)

The black Shield (Black/red variant), is also beautiful imo

I agree, the blocky size bezel does not sing to everyone but personally, i see it as a Tudor's own design identity for this model, as opposed to the standard fluted bezel

RRP of this s/s 23010 is about $3500 before discount (i got 20% for this piece)

I recommend Tai Hong Hang in people's park for Tudors. I got the same model for similar deal. They made a mistake in my order, but recovered quickly by compensating me with 2 Tudor passport holders. Pretty neat. :)
