Finally got my hands on the latest Astron today from Seiko Boutique at Vivo City. If they hadn't launched this SAST013G, I would've waited till Rakuten Global Market had replenished their stocks in about 3 months' time. I liked SAST007 and SAST005 (this had the rose-coloured markers which was the closest to the SAST001 but I found out that Rakuten wouldn't be selling the SAST013G as it was meant for the "foreign markets" so I decided to get it from Vivo City. Here are some pics:

Bro Miker, thanks for your kind wishes. How time flies! I just checked the calendar and it's been 3 months since I got my Astron GPS. Before this Astron GPS, the biggest dial I had was 36 mm diameter. This was first big dial at 47 mm and I felt comfortable with it. The titanium case and bracelet helped to keep the weight at only 135 gm. and was probably why it felt A-OK.
There were times after keeping this watch for 3-4 days in the dark, I saw that it had stopped but when I put it on my wrist, after a few seconds when it had received enough light, the hands started moving. The light source had snapped it from the hibernation mode! I had checked the time on two occasions against the ClockSync app on my phone and found that for both times it was off by less than 2 seconds.
I would then sync it to the satellites when I'm out of the house. I enjoyed wearing this Seiko!

Thank you, bro Miker. I believe Seiko will launch another 4 new models in Japan on 24th May 2013 with subsequent international launches after that. Although I don't post that much, I notice that you're a regular forumer here and I would like to add that I enjoy reading posts by all of you regulars. A BIG Thank You!!
